Hi, Hello, Welcome

My name is Mandy, and I am glad you’re here.

I am a startup enthusiast and small business generalist—essentially, I like to fill in any missing gaps and help companies run smoothly. I’m highly motivated by challenge and novelty, so I tend to say yes to just about anything that needs to be done (please don’t make me do sales).

Academically, I recently completed an accelerated Master’s of Professional Studies in Data Analytics and Visualization, online through Maryland Institute College of Arts. Understanding quantitative and qualitative information, coordinating information across departments, and crunching numbers is one skill. Communicating data, developing a cohesive story, and creating visuals that don’t require 20 minutes of discussion during meetings is another.

I am passionate about trauma-informed care in the workplace, stress reduction, and accessibility. As a manager, it’s extremely important to me to create spaces of psychological safety, meet people where they are, and support them where they need and want to be supported. Maybe I’m biased, but my teams have been consistently some of the most creative, collaborative, and high performing teams out there.

Outside of work, I read constantly, usually via audiobook while knitting, and spend as much time as possible outside with my dog. In 2024, I got SCUBA certified and I can’t wait to get back in the water and see more sharks.

Following a full-company layoff, I am on the market, preferably in a customer service / operations role that involves cross-department coordination, data analytics, and team management. In the meantime, I am open to contracted work for editing, dataviz, knowledge management, or really anything you think I might have the skills to do.
